Dear Sir/Madam, Please review my qualifications and experience, summarised in the enclosed Curriculum Vitae, for the positions advertised for qualified social workers within the Lancashire area.
As my Curriculum Vitae indicates, I have a degree in Social Psychology, through which I completed a dissertation relating to the effective indication of depressive symptoms. I have recently completed a postgraduate Diploma in Social Work and I am currently undertaking a Masters dissertation which is an independent piece of research exploring the social work role within mental health services. I believe this, alongside my achievements within assessed practice placements, demonstrates my enthusiasm and commitment to anti-oppressive and user-led mental health service provision.
Throughout my practice placements I developed a range of skills in engagement, assessment and application of intervention techniques with children and families and with mental health service user's and their families within a Community Mental Health Team setting.
